How to tell a story in Spanish,
As a teacher (a nosey one) I am I often find myself asking my students to describe things, and if I don’t, usually are my students the ones whom want to tell me something they have done or something that has happened to them, but often as well I find they start really excited but loose fuel quickly as they do not know the words to use in order to explain their story, that is what how to tell a story in Spanish is all about.
In order to tell something, you need little words called “conectores del discurso”, something like “speech connectors” , so you can order your ideas logically.
As you imagine, there are a few of them, but I will just give you some, and you can choose a couple from each category to make them yours J

“ means the word has the same meaning in english that the one above
“ “ mean that the translation is pretty much that one in English but is not 100% accurate as you do not have the exact thing, but I put something aproximately so you can have an idea when to use it.
* means that those Words can be used equally in English, but I think the one I chose it is the most accurate meaning.
I hope you enjoyed and learned loads from today’s post, I definitely did getting it ready, looking up for the exactly translation, so I hope you find it useful and if you know someone who might benefit from it please share it.
That said, time for some action…
The best to improve is through practice so I challenge you today, or during this weekend coming, write a story using the “words” above, and if you want post it on the comments below and I would be more than happy to have a look and correct it for you J Grab your pen and paper and get to work!
You will find it is much easier than you thought once you know the connectors and can express the elements on your story in order
Also I would love to hear from you,
-Have you used these connectors before?
-Do you use any others?
